Ground my feet, though walking
In Thy steadfast, faithful love,
As they go about Thy will
Let them not waver with
Doubts or questions
Which would pull this soul from Thee.
But let those doubts which entertain
Ideas that we control it all
Drive us to run unto the Cross
Falling—breaking pride—and so
Standing stronger than before.
When I am tempted to shrink from
The path you have called me to
Remind me that the fount of unending joy
Has capture my heart so that
Such fullness of life cannot be turned from.
Let me realize afresh that every
Weakness of my temperament
Is tempered by the unending strength
Of Thy fixed character and might.
