as quickly he ran to the sea
Ezra just sat and splished and he sploshed
and daddy, he winked at me.
"I'll catch you the ocean," he promised
and quick as a wink he did
Me and baby just wondered at all he could do
then back again was he.
"I'll build you a castle," he boasted
but foolish his claims did now seem
with water and sand his only supplies
was this idea simply a dream?
"I'll teach you, my son," daddy started
"for soon you can be just like me,
it's the courage my son to imagine
what is from what really can't be."
