Ten Minutes in Ezra's Life

As part of my birthday week Ezra posts, I thought it would be interesting to share what ten minutes of playtime looks like in our house...

3:51 I walk downstairs, and Ezra is hiding under the butcher block. He follows me over toward the piano.

3:52  Ezra is busy pulling down leftover birthday decorations.

3:53 Ezra crawls over to the sofa, dragging a book with his leg. He proceeds to stand at the sofa with the book. It's back on the floor now.  Ezra investigates a train piece, before hunting behind the sofa for more adventures and playing with his tongue.

3:54 Now it's time to look under the piano for treasures, almost pull tray tables on himself, and play the piano from left to right, the whole thing, stopping for some more playing at the high notes. He eats something off the keys and climbs in a box of blocks and falls backwards onto his back.

3:55 Quick recovery. Picks up a train piece, decides it's not interesting enough, throws it violently. Finds baby phone, plays with for two seconds, throws. Gets interested in a musical toy for another 5 seconds.

3:56 Picks the phone up again. Throws it again. And again. Brief interest in puzzle mommy is playing with. Pats at balloon.

3:57 Throws a musical toy. Starts talking to himself. Snuggles with his blue blankie on the floor. But not to be stopped, he keeps moving while snuggling, sliding across the floor.

3:58 Starts playing peekaboo and banging his cast on the floor to make sounds. Continues playing peekaboo while scooting back and forth.

3:59 More snuggles Playtime is winding down. Pulls puzzle piece out of puzzle, twirls it in the air, says "up" when he removes it.

4:00 back to the musical toy and phone, this time, banging them together.

4:01 In a somewhat rare move, Ezra helpfully starts putting toys away. Back to our regularly scheduled programming, he has now put streamers in his mouth and coughed, read a book, and is now pushing the block box across the floor and throwing things again....this time onto the piano keys!
