I'm still learning what my husband likes to eat, so the other day, I asked, "do you like lasagna?"
His reply was quite positive. And so, last night, I set out to make lasagna. And halfway through realized that though I'd purchased the noodles and the ricotta, had no mozzarella or parmesan cheese on hand. But I did have pepperjack and sharp cheddar.
Apparently a little recipe substitute can do amazing things. I wish I could remember exactly what Aaron said after dinner last night, about how much he loved pepperjack cheese in lasagna (which was kinda fun, because one of the early commonalities we discovered when courting was our love for pepperjack), but I believe he said something like, "It changed the way I look at the world."
Wow, I'd say that was a success. :)
